*Blows the dust off my journal*
It's been a while since I've done anything creative. Too long. I am still at a point to where I can see my muse, wave at her, but I can't quite get my voice to reach her to come back. I guess after I left Ohio, the will do draw and write seemed to evaporate with it. Drawing and writing were my outlets to escape the misery that I had lived in up there, but now that I am here, with my husband of three years and a home of my own, it seems I do not need that refuge like I used to. It's a damned shame, but I am trying, really trying, to bring her back.
This year, my resolution is to start drawing again. I want to create a project, namely, a themed set of drawings and stories (perhaps a comic? I am not a humor-type person, so it would definitely be more seriously themed). I want to create something from conception to outline, to finished product. Once per month, I want to have at least one piece done.
I have no idea what I want to do for January's project, however, now that I am flipping through my old sketchbooks, I am starting to think up ideas, which is good. I have a set of drawings I did back in my DBZ fandom days of Pan, Marron, Bra and my little 'Mary Sue', Son Asa. I think I might repurpose these babies and do something with them. That would be badass. I'm going to scan up some stuff tonight, untouched. It's some of my best work from back in the day. Hope you enjoy.
Before I close this, I do have one thing I am going to do this month: In fact, I am going to try to get started this evening on it. I am going to do this Before and After thing (fav.me/d2xu044). It's just deciding which picture I want to redraw that's the problem. :3
Over and out!
